Melbourne Arts Trip Wrap Up
The Melbourne Arts trip was a week-long adventure for members of Stage 2 Music, Drama, and Visual Arts classes.
Students were taken to various music and drama related events and opportunities around the city. This included visiting high profile recording studios, going to three different jazz clubs, and attending various classical concerts. Students attended several performances.
After a late night arrival on Tuesday 30 April, students and staff kicked into their first full day exploring the National Gallery of Victoria, Top Arts exhibition, the Melbourne Museum and the Queen Victoria Night Market. They also had the opportunity to participate in a Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School Choir workshop and performances of Barnum the Circus and Cosi.

7 Drama students made the trek south and took part in a jam packed program that included trips to the theatre, drama workshops hosted by professional actors, tours of the Victorian Arts Centre and the Victorian College of the Arts and they even caught a footy game at the MCG.
Highlights were Melbourne Theatre Company’s production of COSI, Bell Shakespeare’s THE MISER and the opportunity to be onstage during the musical MURIEL’S WEDDING. The trip gave the drama students the opportunity to experience a variety of theatre and explore new drama concepts through the workshops. A fantastic (but exhausting!) experience for everyone.
