SCHOOL TO RESUME TOMORROW WEDNESDAY 10 MAY
Darwin High School will operate as usual from tomorrow, Wednesday 10 May.
On Monday morning, damage was found to one of the underground pipes that runs the air conditioning at Darwin High School.
This impacted on the loss of air conditioning to all areas of the school with the exception of the science block.
Contractors were on site yesterday, overnight and this morning to conduct repairs to the damaged pipe.
Extensive testing was undertaken by contractors this morning and they have confirmed that all air conditioning is operating and that school can resume as normal from Wednesday 10 May.
Today, approximately 150 students attended Darwin High School and participated in supervised tutorials and study sessions.
Families of Darwin High students have been contacted via COMPASS and email to notify that it is business as usual from Wednesday 10 May.
Darwin High School thanks students, families and staff for their patience during this time.
