International Women’s Day

​On Thursday 8 March, the Year 12 Women’s Studies class held its annual International Women’s Day morning tea which was attended by parents, grandparents, teachers, friends, politicians and other supporters of the students in the class such as the DHS Board.

NT Board of Studies Awards

​Darwin High School staff and Board wish to congratulate all of our Year 12 students on their outstanding results in 2017. Many of these excellent results were recognised at the NT Board of Studies Awards on Friday 9 February at Parliament House.

Chinese Lion on Campus

​On Monday 19th February the Chung Wah Society Lion Dance Troupe was on campus to bless the school. The dance troupe started their visit in the Front Office foyer, paid a visit upstairs to the Northern Territory School of Distance Education and then made their way to the Library and through B covered way.

​Darwin High’s Street Library

In 2016 the entire Year 10 SOHP English class entered the Footpath Library’s Epic! Short Story competition and Morgan Gurry won for her story of friendship and Darwin High School won a Street Library for submitting the most number of entries of any school in Australia.

National Youth Science Forum

​The National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) has a Year 12 Program 12-day residential program designed to give students a broader understanding of the diverse study and career options available in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and to encourage them to continue their studies in these fields. Darwin High School Year 12 student Zoe Heath was selected to attend the 2018 program.
