On 14 September Darwin High School representatives were pleased to attend the official ‘switch on’ for Australia’s first purpose-built subsea fibre optic cable connecting Darwin to Port Hedland. The Darwin end of the North West Cable System is situated adjacent to Darwin High School and we have watched its progress with interest over the last 2 years.

Climate Challenge Champions

​Darwin High School entered two teams in the Darwin City Council annual Climate Change Challenge. The Climate Change Challenge gives the participating students an opportunity to explore environmental issues on both a local and global scale.

Snow Stories

​The 2016 Darwin High Perisher Ski Trip was a great success and proved that anyone can be a good skier! Over 40 Year 10 and Stage 1 students participated in this year’s excursion, and quite a few had never seen the snow before.
