​I was brave, I shaved!

​International relations and politics were the driving force behind the UNYouthNT Territory Conference 2018. There was impressive representation from Darwin High School students who made up over a third of the total number of delegates.

​On Thursday 8 March, the Year 12 Women’s Studies class held its annual International Women’s Day morning tea which was attended by parents, grandparents, teachers, friends, politicians and other supporters of the students in the class such as the DHS Board.

Darwin High School is taking part in World's Greatest Shave to help beat blood cancer and there is now only a week until our lunchtime event, Thursday 15 March.

On Monday 19 February, students from the Darwin High Outreach of Henbury School presented their local member, the Hon. Lauren Moss MLA, with the artwork which won the 3D category of the Henbury Art Exhibition late last year.

​This week Darwin High School was fortunate enough to receive a visit from members of the Chiba Family, descendants of one of the submariners who perished in the I-124 Japanese submarine sinking on the 20th of January, 1942 off the coast of the Northern Territory.

​On Monday 19th February the Chung Wah Society Lion Dance Troupe was on campus to bless the school. The dance troupe started their visit in the Front Office foyer, paid a visit upstairs to the Northern Territory School of Distance Education and then made their way to the Library and through B covered way.

Darwin High School is taking part in World's Greatest Shave to help beat blood cancer. This year the event is a student led initiative by Year 12 student Max Ingles-Graham.

​At the end of the term last year Twenty Darwin High students and three teachers departed Darwin for their 2017 World Challenge adventure to Botswana and Namibia.

​On Friday 24 November, fifteen Darwin High School students and three teachers departed Darwin for the 2017 Japan, Korea and China Trip. The students had the adventure of a lifetime experiencing the culture and languages of each country.
