On Friday 22 September thirty-four Darwin High School SIEU students attended the 2018 VET for School Secondary Program Information Day.
Darwin High School music students were invited to take part in a learning and development workshop as part of the Up the Guts tour. The two hour workshop delivered on its aim to inspire young people with all things music related.
Last week Darwin High School Stage 2 Child Studies Students visited Stuart Park Primary School and engaged in a range of activities to support and encourage social and emotional health and wellbeing as part of their group practical activity.
The World Health Organization estimates that over 800,000 people die by suicide each year – that’s one person every 40 seconds. This year Darwin High School demonstrated its support for suicide prevention with a fundraiser at lunchtime on Monday 11 September.
Last week Darwin High School presented a music showcase with students from Darwin Middle and Larrakeyah Primary School.
Tournament of Minds (ToM) is a problem solving program for teams of students from both primary and secondary years.
On Friday 25 August, Darwin High School hosted the annual Seniors’ Morning of Entertainment.
On Thursday 17 August eight Darwin High School Year 11 students from the Stage 1 Indonesian class took part in the 72nd Indonesian Independence Day ceremony at the Indonesian Consulate in Darwin.
Last week Year 11 Community Studies student Sam Kilgour completed a fundraising campaign to support the RSPCA.
