Darwin High School has a longstanding tradition of commemorating Anzac Day with a commemorative Assembly by its senior students. This year on Wednesday 24 April, all 1300 students and staff, gathered with invited guests to reflect on the Legacy of the Anzac.
Darwin High School students celebrated Australia’s multiculturalism and our schools diverse community with a Harmony event on Thursday 21 March at lunchtime.
On Monday 25 March Darwin High School welcomed a visit from Professor Lisa Harvey-Smith, the Australian Government’s Women in STEM Ambassador.
Initially created in 2012 as a Darwin High School and SLIDE Youth Dance Theatre partnership Brave is being remounted in 2019 in response to the increase in Bullying incidents across Australia.

The twelfth annual World Autism Awareness Day is April 2. This year Darwin High School will be participating in an 8-day walking challenge and host a BBQ, fundraising to raise awareness for this important cause.
Last month Darwin High School was fortunate enough to receive a visit from members of the Chiba Family, descendants of one of the submariners who perished in the I-124 Japanese submarine sinking on the 20th of January, 1942 off the coast of the Northern Territory.
Our Stage 2 Health students are doing Febfast throughout February and they have all chosen something to give up for the month.
At the end of last term, on Monday 3 December, eighteen Darwin High School students and two teachers departed Darwin for the C4E Singapore and Malaysia Trip. This annual trip gives students the opportunity to enhance their applied knowledge and stretch their mathematical and scientific horizons beyond the classroom.
Last November, ten Darwin High School language students and two teachers spent three weeks travelling through Italy and Spain as part of a cultural language tour.
On Friday 1 November, Darwin High students participated in their first colour fun run. This event was organised by our amazing house captains and was raising money for new lockers.Despite the gloomy day, students enjoyed doing a lap of the oval, getting covered in coloured chalk and enjoying festivities…
