Darwin High School Students are NTPFES Cadets

The Northern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services (NTPFES) Cadetship Program Offers students the opportunity to obtain training in public safety and business. Students work alongside Police, Fire and Emergency services personal to increase employment opportunities and work readiness skills.

This year Darwin High School has six students in the program,

Squad 2 (Year 12) – Nathan Sawyer

Squad 3 (Year 11) – Shannon Dickinson, Jasmyn Hunt, Sam Kilgour, Andrew Nemeth and Yasmin Simmons

Students commit to two days of training per week, as well as up to 3 weeks of block training each term. They will be introduced to specialist training including the dog squad, shore based rescue, firefighting and mounted police operations.

We wish all our cadets the best of luck with their training.
