School Counsellor Service

All of our students have access to counselling services at school. The School Counsellor’s office is located in the Student Support Centre at the bottom of A-Block
Our counsellor, Kerryn Fulton, is able to provide advice and support on a wide range of issues for both students and their parents and can provide referrals to other support services.
If the door is open, students are welcome to 'drop in' otherwise appointments can be made by emailing [email protected]
Parents can contact the school counsellor via email or phone with any concerns regarding their child. This might be for a consult or a referral for counselling. If the contact is for a referral it will be asked if they have discussed the referral with their child, this makes proceeding to counselling easier otherwise we will explore consent and the voluntary nature of counselling and how best to encourage the young person to engage with support.
Another integral part of our wellbeing program is our Assistant Principals and Year Level Coordinators. Assistant Principals and Year Level Coordinators follow each cohort through their time at Darwin High which ensures a strong relationship with each student and their family.
