News from Darwin High Alumni – Joshua Lee

Darwin High Alumnus Joshua Lee recently visited the school after attending the ten year reunion of the Class of 2006. 

Pictured above is Darwin High School Alumnus Joshua Lee on a recent visit to the School.

Josh matriculated in 2006 with an impressive seven subjects and is now a Data Scientist at the University of Sydney. As well as Data Analysis and Programming; he also works as a Senior Tutor and delivers lectures in Business Law at the University’s Business School which is one of the oldest in Australia and ranked within the top 20 universities in the world.

Josh said 

The Maths program offered at Darwin High School puts its students ahead of the rest of Australia in terms of content. Darwin High students come to University with prior knowledge of statistics and higher-order maths. 

He was also full of praise for his Maths teacher Ms Tan. Whilst in the school, Josh also visited a Robotics class, which impressed him greatly. He said that

 Darwin High is at the cutting edge of the latest developments in education.
