About the building works

The NT Government has committed almost $40 million over five years to improve infrastructure on the Bullocky Point Education Precinct.

  • $15 million is to modernise the main A and B Blocks of Darwin High School. These blocks are the original school building constructed in 1963 and this investment will see the teaching and learning spaces upgraded and expanded to include a new central library and Fabrication Laboratory.
  • $12 million is for Darwin Middle School to build a multi purpose school hall. This will provide an all weather facility that can accommodate the whole student cohort.
  • $12 million is for student accommodation on the Bullocky Point site. This will provide accommodation for remote students, including those on residential placements with NTSDE as well as supporting the expansion of the school's international education services.

Planning for each of the three stages will commence shortly. Check the newsletter for updates.
