Singapore and Malaysia
The annual trip to Singapore and Malaysia gives students the opportunity to widen their mathematical, scientific and cultural horizons. The 10 day experience includes visits to places of mathematical and scientific interest such as the Singapore Science Centre, the Marina Barrage Dam, the NeWater Plant and the Selangor Pewter Factory. The aim of the trip is to enhance students’ applied knowledge as well as stretch their mathematical and scientific horizons beyond the usual classroom.
NASA Kennedy Space Center in the United States
The biennial trip to the John F. Kennedy Space Center in Orlando, North America as part of the Centre for Excellence program. By exploring and touring NASA areas, students are immersed in the past, present and future of the NASA space program. Students undergo an authentic day of hands-on mission simulations and space exploration activities designed to prepare them for the rigours of space flight. Students also have the opportunity to meet Astronauts. Other places of interest such as the Grand Canyon in Arizona and Universal Studios in California are also part of the 18 day experience.
