IT Services and Help Desk

At Darwin High we are transitioning to a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) program. Our students are encouraged to bring a suitable portable device (laptop or tablet) to school.

Bringing technology into the classroom

At Darwin High students are encouraged to bring a suitable portable device (laptop or tablet) to school. See downloads for the recommended specifications and types of devices suitable for use in the school environment.

A filtered WiFi internet connection and some software is provided for students to use for educational purposes when they are using their own devices. The BYOD program is optional and laptops, computer labs and library computers are also available for student use. All students are also issued a school email address when they enrol.

Darwin High School is committed to a cyber safe school community and all students must sign and adhere to an Acceptable Use and Cyber Safety Agreement.

Helpdesk

Our IT Helpdesk is available for students and is located on the 2nd Floor of B Block. The Helpdesk is available to students from 8.00am to 8.30am in the morning, during recess and lunchtimes, and after school from 2.20pm to 2.50pm.

The Compass App

Students and their families are encouraged to download the Darwin High School Compass app to their smart phone/tablet device. Compass app allows you to stay up to date with announcements and events, complete a range of e-forms for student absences and excursions and easily contact us via phone or email direct from the app.
