On Campus

At Darwin High we have a large campus with lots of spaces for student study and socialising. Students can also purchase food and stationery items and access a range of support services on site.

Timetable

School starts at 7:55am and finishes at 2:30pm. Our school timetable is organised on a 6 line 5 day cyclical timetable. All classes have three single period lessons and one double period lesson per week. Lesson times are adjusted on days where there are school assemblies.

Student timetables are available in Compass.

Getting around

Our school campus is large but easy to navigate with indoor and undercover walkway access between most buildings. School maps are available from the Front Office or Student Services.

Out of Bounds

All areas outside of the red line on the map below are out of bounds for all students.

Car parks may be used to access cars for entry and exit only and are otherwise out of bounds.

Our campus shares the oval with Darwin Middle School.

The shared oval space has is extended to include the seating areas around the oval.

To assist students with understanding the out of bounds area in the shared space, some boundary points are landmarked below:

  1. Fork in the footpath behind COLA 1
  2. T junction in the footpath
  3. Coloured poled prior to Darwin Middle School classrooms
  4. Tank car park
  5. Table and seating area near the Darwin High School sign and flagpoles

School Assemblies

At school there are regular assemblies (whole school and for each year level) where students and teachers share important information. Assemblies also provide an opportunity for student achievements and talents to be showcased through award presentations and performances. At Darwin High we encourage student involvement in the running of assemblies and everyone is encouraged to contribute items.
