Through the study of Metalwork students develop the ability to identify, metals and materials.
They will plan, develop and construct projects using contemporary industry processes. Students learn to use tools, materials, and systems safely and competently to complete a product. They explore technologies in both contemporary and historical settings, and analyse the impacts of technology, including social, environmental, and sustainable consequences.
Students use a range of manufacturing technologies such as tools, machines, equipment, and/or systems to design and make products with metal.
Assessment at Stage 1 is school based. Students demonstrate evidence of their learning through the following assessment types:
