About the course

This course is available in Semester 1 and continues on to Semester 2. It follows the Australian Curriculum rational, aims and curriculum for Year 10A Mathematics with extension. The key ideas are the proficiency strands of understanding, fluency, problem-solving and reasoning. In this course topics are covered in greater depth than the Year 10 Level 1 Mathematics Course in Semester 1 and the Mathematical Methods Course in Semester 2. Topics include:

  • Linear Functions
  • Quadratic Functions
  • Exponential and Logarithm Functions
  • Trigonometry
  • Quadratic Functions
  • Statistics
