Bringing technology into the classroom
At Darwin High, students are encouraged to bring a suitable portable device to school.
The BYOD program is optional, and the school maintains a level of service to allow students to access technology throughout the day. However, students who have participated in the BYOD program have expressed they felt they had a considerable advantage by having access to their own device both at school and at home.
Our IT Services Helpdesk will assist with network setup and installation of the following software with the BYOD program:
COMPASS EDUCATION
Darwin High School uses Compass as our student portal. Compass is available via the web and an App.
NTSCHOOLS GUEST WI-FI NETWORK
The NTSchools Guest wireless network is available for students to allow devices to connect to the internet within our school. A self-service website link is available within Compass under School Favourites.
MICROSOFT OFFICE 365
