Student leadership

At Darwin High School student leaders play an important part in school decision making and fostering a learning environment that empowers students and values their voice.

Student Representative Council

The Student Representative Council provides the student body with a voice on the issues that affect and matter most to them. The Council also fosters social awareness through the support of community projects. The Council is made up of four students from each year level, including the Intensive English Unit. Students volunteer for the Council and use their position to lobby for changes and school projects on behalf of their peers. The Council is also represented on the Darwin High School Board.

Selections for the Student Representative Council are held in Term 1 of each school year.

School Leaders

At Darwin High we also have a group of school leaders who assist with the organisation of various school and community functions as well as setting an exemplary personal example in their conduct at school.

The Compass App

Students and their families are encouraged to download the Darwin High School Compass app to their smart phone/tablet device. Compass app allows you to stay up to date with announcements and events, complete a range of e-forms for student absences and excursions and easily contact us via phone or email direct from the app.
