Enrolment

We are currently only accepting enrolment applications for 2026.

Darwin High School is a senior secondary college catering for students in Years 10 to 12. Our students consistently achieve levels of excellence across all learning areas and in the many co-curricular activities in which they are involved. Almost all of our students complete Year 12, and the majority of these students continue on to university, other tertiary study or employment in their chosen field.

Enrolling at Darwin High School

Darwin High School is a high demand school and the number of students who wish to enrol and attend often exceeds the physical capacity of the school. To manage this demand and ensure a fair and equitable enrolment process for families and students, there are two main categories of enrolment.

Enrolment Catchment Area

Students that attend Darwin City Primary Schools or reside within our designated Enrolment Catchment Area are given priority for access to enrolment places at Darwin High School, this is in accordance with the Department of Education and Training enrolment catchment area.

We are not currently accepting enrolment applications for 2027. Our Select Entry Programs (Centre for Excellence, Students of High Performance and Centre for Skills and Training) are currently under review for 2027, and registrations are not yet available.

Out-of-Area-Enrolment

There are limited places available for students who live outside Darwin High School’s enrolment catchment area. Students who reside outside the school’s enrolment catchment area are required to submit an  application and meet specific eligibility criteria. Due to current enrolment capacity, out-of-area applications will be considered only in exceptional circumstances and placement cannot be guaranteed.

Further information about next steps for an enrolment application is available below.
