Enrolment

2027 Enrolments Now Open

Darwin High School is a leading secondary school for students in Years 7 to 12, offering a broad range of academic, vocational, sporting, cultural and leadership opportunities.

Enrolling at Darwin High School

Our students consistently achieve outstanding results across all learning areas while actively participating in an extensive range of co-curricular programs.

With a strong focus on academic excellence, student wellbeing and future pathways, almost all of our students complete Year 12, with the majority continuing to university, further education, training or employment in their chosen field.

We look forward to welcoming new students and families to the Darwin High School community.

Darwin High School is currently operating under a Northern Territory Department of Education and Training's Enrolment Management Plan.

As a high-demand school, the number of students seeking enrolment often exceeds the school's physical capacity. The Enrolment Management Plan ensures a fair and equitable process for allocating available places.

Enrolment Categories

There are two main enrolment categories:

Category 1. Priority Enrolment

  • Students who live within the Darwin High School Enrolment Catchment Area
  • Students currently enrolled at a Darwin City Partner School

Students who reside within the catchment area or attend a Darwin City Partner School are given priority for enrolment in accordance with the Department of Education and Training's Enrolment Catchment Policy and Enrolment Management Plan.

Current Year 6 students

The enrolment process for students entering Year 7 varies depending on the student's current school.
