Darwin High School offers five select entry programs for students who want to extend themselves academically, in the arts, or through a vocational pathway.
Each program has its own entry process. Some require an entrance test, one requires an audition, and one is entry by Expression of Interest. Every program uses the same registration system and shares the same closing date.
Applications for 2027 close at 3:00pm on Friday 4 September 2026. Late registrations will not be accepted.

Year 7 SOHP applicants may select one of the three testing sessions, each starting at 3:00pm.
Dance and Band Excellence applicants attend an audition rather than a test. Audition requirements and scheduling are available through the registration link.
The Centre for Skills and Training has no entrance test. Entry is by Expression of Interest.
Open to current Year 6 students intending to enrol at Darwin High School in Year 7 in 2027.
Open to current Year 9 students, and to Years 9 to 11 students for the Centre for Skills and Training.
