About the SOHP program

Designed for students who love learning.

The Darwin High School Students of High Performance (SOHP) program for Years 7 to 9 is a selective entry program built for highly motivated, academically capable students who are eager to extend themselves.

The program provides enriched learning opportunities for students with a passion for Mathematics, Science, English and Humanities.

Who is SOHP for?

Registration is open to current Year 6 students intending to enrol at Darwin High School in Year 7 in 2027.

Entry into the SOHP program for Years 8 and 9 is generally not available through external application. Places in those year levels are based on academic achievement, teacher recommendation and program vacancies.

How do I apply?

Entry into the program is selective. Students are required to sit an entrance test to be considered for placement, and a $10 registration fee applies to sit the test.

To apply, register through CompassTix and email a copy of the student's Semester 1 2026 school report and Year 5 NAPLAN report to [email protected] by Friday 4 September 2026.

Applications cannot be assessed until all required documentation has been received. Supporting documentation must be submitted before testing.
