DHS Stage 2 Drama proudly presents their group performance of The Great American Scream — a razor-sharp, theatrically vibrant satire set in New Jersey, 1938.
When legendary director Orson Welles’ Halloween radio broadcast announces a Martian invasion, a seemingly ordinary All-American family spirals into a frenzy of hilarious — and revealing — emotional outbursts.
Expect nostalgic Americana, laugh-out-loud moments, and incisive political commentary exploring racism, media truth vs untruth, and patriarchal power — all wrapped up in a fast-paced, witty narrative. (Loosely inspired by kind-of-true events!)
