On this day students will attend their lesson 1 class before being escorted at 9.00am by their classroom teachers to the bus depot at the front of school, for a departure from Darwin High by 9.20am.
Students will arrive at the convention centre and be seated by 9.50am for a 10.00am start. The event is programmed to finish at 2.00pm and will have interactive displays for students to engage in during the lunch break.
Students will need to bring their own packed lunch, including a water bottle. No catering will be provided at this event.
If you do not want your child to attend this event, please decline the event on compass. No year 11 classes will be scheduled for Thursday 26 March (except for lesson 1).
This event plays a pivotal role in educating and inspiring them to make responsible choices while driving and using our roads, ultimately aiming to reduce incidents of road trauma. The event helps participants understand the importance of safe driving practices. Students will be asked to complete a pre and post event survey during their Wellbeing classes. We ask that parents provide consent for their child to attend this event via compass or by emailing the [email protected].
