The course will primarily focus on the theory and design of electric circuits and will include some electric circuit theory.
This includes students who may be interested in completing an apprenticeship or students who may be interested in a career in engineering.
Although there are no prerequisites to complete this subject, ideally students would have demonstrated their interest in this area by attempting Semester 1 Stage 1 Physics. Students would demonstrate their understanding of concepts by completing one or more projects. These projects would be student developed and may include:
$80 for excursions and consumables – wiring, etc.
Students will need to supply all consumables on ‘take home’ projects
The course will be assessed under the SACE Design and Technology curriculum. This allows for more open-ended problem solving and allows greater flexibility in how students demonstrate what they know and can do.
