- Further study Stage 2 Biology (2BIOY)
In Biology students study the structure and function of living things, and how they interact with their own and other species and their environments
They will investigate biological systems from the perspectives of energy, control, structure and function, change, and exchange in microscopic cellular structures and processes, through to macroscopic ecosystem dynamics.
Students must be able to demonstrate their skills, knowledge and understanding of the three strands of science.
Science understanding is delivered under four main topic areas:
Assessment
Students provide evidence of their learning through four assessments each semester.
| Assessment | Weighting |
| Science as a Human Endeavour Investigation | 25% |
| Deconstruct and Design Practical | 25% |
| Test | 25% |
