In #Cooking students focus on practical cooking for a purpose, and recording their learning journey using ICT in the form of blogs, social media and digital portfolios.
Students will apply their knowledge and skills to a real-world task for a specific purpose. They will work as a team and learn collaboratively as they participate in meaningful, food-based activity that connects them to the community.

The learning and assessment program has a focus on developing a range of practical cookery skills for specific purposes coupled with critical and reflective thinking to improve results over time. A major focus is on students developing their communication skills by creating a food blog and sharing their individual learning journey.
The following assessment types enable students to demonstrate their learning in Stage 1 Integrated Learning: Practical - 30%, Group Activity - 50%, Folio and Discussion - 20%.
