Robotic and Electronics Systems

This subject is designed to provide students the technical and practical experience as an introduction to low voltage electronics and robotics.

About the subject

Students will make a robot arm, learn how to modify the electronics and motor controls and programme the robot for set commands. A diagnostic reasoning will also be developed. Students will learn how to use an electronics multimeter and basic electronic hand tools.

Students will study and have practical experience in:

  • Use of electronic hand tools and multimeter
  • Construction and testing
  • Modification and evaluation.

A maximum of six assessment items, which may include: 

  • Theory
  • Workshop
  • Construction
  • Testing
  • Modifications
  • Programming 

across the following assessment types:
