Integrated Learning Net Sports is an alternative pathway to Stage 1 Physical Education where students explore net-based sports while developing practical skills, leadership capabilities and an understanding of sport in community contexts.

About the subject

This program has been designed to support students to develop skills, understanding and personal capabilities through participation in net sports within real-world and community contexts. Students undertake a practical inquiry and personal venture while developing teamwork, communication and leadership skills through coaching and officiating experiences. Practical topics include volleyball, badminton and tennis.

Assessment

Assessment at Stage 1 is school based. Students demonstrate evidence of their learning through the following assessment types: 

  • Practical Inquiry – 40%
  • Coaching Connections – 30%
  • Personal Endeavour – 30%
