This is a Stage 2 subject open to Year 11 students. In Solo Performance, students develop skills in aural perception and musical sensitivity and preparing and presenting public performances.
Solo Performance allows students to use and develop existing performance skills on a single instrument or voice, or a group of instruments/voice. Students engage with a range of performance opportunities and reflective practices throughout the year.. Performances are conducted through a series of lunchtime concerts, evening performances and whole school events.
Students attend timetabled classes, which is customarily used for personal practice or rehearsal. In addition to this, students participate in a 2 hour performance class each Thursday 3pm - 5pm.

This is a public performance or set of public performances of contrasting works between 6 - 8 minutes in duration. The Performance Portfolio is to include a 500 word or 3 minute evaluation.
