In this subject students research, analyse, explore and experiment with media and technique, and resolve and produce practical work.
In this course students explore traditional and contemporary art, in order to acquire technical skills, and use media, materials and technologies within the Visual Arts.
Students learn to develop personally relevant ideas, and understand the role that art plays culturally, socially and historically.
This course supports students whom are interested in the more traditional arts such as painting and sculpture but is also appropriate for film, digital artists or experimental.
The support materials folio developed in this course are used for University Entrance Applications in Visual and Screen Arts courses.

This externally assessed task involves students exploring Visual Artists and their work in order to develop and apply art skills, techniques, processes, technologies and concepts in this Visual Study..
The Visual Study is 20 x A3 pages and 2000 words or 12 minutes multimodal e.g. film study
