Robotics and Electronics

About this subject

This subject provides opportunities to develop design thinking, to investigate engineering solutions, to develop a plan, realise the solution and evaluate the outcome at a fundamental level and prepare students to take further study at stage 1 level. This could be achieved using the Arduino circuit board and Arduino IDE to develop prototypes or products. Students demonstrate knowledge and skills associated with systems, processes, and materials appropriate for the prototype and final solution.

The following assessment types enable students to demonstrate their learning in Year 10 Electronics and Robotics:

School Based Assessment Weighting
  • Assessment Type 1: Specialised Skills Task1_ Breadboard circuit
  • Assessment Type 1: Specialised Skills Task2_ diagram of a circuit
  • Assessment Type 2: Folio_ Design brief and evaluation
  • Assessment Type 2: Solution

Subject elective fee
