Physical Education Studies

About the subject

For each practical activity undertaken basic rules, skills, tactics and individual responsibilities will be covered in game situations. Theory components will focus on developing the necessary background to progress to Stage 1 Physical Education.

Semester structure

Semester one

Students will complete practical activities based on student/class interest and will complete the following theory topics:

• Basic Anatomy and Physiology
• Training and Fitness
• Sport Psychology
• Energy Systems

Semester two

Students will complete practical activities based on student/class interest and will complete the following theory topics:

• Skill acquisition
• Biomechanics
• Sport Psychology
• Energy Systems (New)

Requirements

Students must bring a change of clothes for each practical lesson, as well as appropriate footwear.
