About the course

The Year 10 Cross-Disciplinary Studies Pre-Essential course incorporates the following two disciplines:

  • The Year 10 Australian Curriculum for Mathematics
  • Architectural Design

Disciplinary knowledge and skills are primarily drawn from the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics at a Year 10 level while the learning interest forms the primary focus for the group project.

Assessment for this subject is school-based as follows:

Assessment Semester 1

  • Algebra Test
  • Finance Test
  • Group-Project Measurement -Modular Homes
  • Geometry, Algebra, Finance and Measurement.

Assessment Semester 2

  • Linear Relationships Test
  • Statistics and Probability Test
  • Group-Project Pythagoras and Trigonometry
  • Final Test (all topics)
