2017 World Scholar's Cup
On Wednesday 31 May students from Darwin High competed against teams from Casuarina Senior College and Good Shephard Lutheran College in the Darwin round of the World Scholar’s Cup.
All of the Darwin High School students achieved outstanding results and were great ambassadors for the school.
The team from Year 10 (pictured below) consisting of Joel Keith, Sam Roussos and Lachlan Anderson swept the floor winning three of the four events including the Team Debate, Collaborative Writing Competition and the Scholar’s Challenge. This effort saw them recognised as the Champion team with Joel Keith being the Champion Scholar.
The team from Year 12 (pictured top) Isabelle Chin Quan, Zandro Lagman and Kailey Coble won the final event the Scholar’s Bowl – a team cross curriculum quiz.
The Year 11 team (pictured below) of Andrew Northcote, Ava Wilmore and Rachel Fisher distinguished themselves by being the second highest scoring team of the day.
The final team was a mixed team from Darwin High and Essington. These students were by far the most stylish students and had a real appreciation of Alpacas.
Congratulations to all the students who were involved.
