2019 Business Educators Australasia PYOE Competition

Three of our Year 12 Business and Enterprise students were shortlisted for the 2019 Business Educators Australiasia - Play Your Own Enterprise (PYOE) Competition where they were required to write a 3000 word Business Plan and deliver a five minute presentation to two judges.

Cindy Jongue was the winner and received the winning certificate and a cheque of $1100.00 from the President of Business Education Teachers Association of NT (BETANT), Mr Matthew Atfield. Cindy’s Business Plan- Tamulaja Tumugi focused on traditional Indigenous food and to open up first Indigenous restaurant. 

The competition runner up was  Nathan Lee and received a cheque of $650.00. Nathan’s business: Northern Online Retail is to provide website services for small businesses who were unable to create or maintain websites themselves. By outsourcing to NOR, they would benefit from a better exposure to customers, boosting sales. 

Third prize went to Fleur Liveris with a cheque of $250.00. Fleur’s business: Kafe Hijau- embracing Indonesia’s authentic touch using fresh locally grown produce.
