By teacher Mariko Ruzsicska

The Imagine Cup Junior Cup is a global program, designed to help high school students learn about AI (Artificial Intelligence), understand the ethics behind the technology, and innovate AI concepts that could make a difference for the Earth, Accessibility or Humanitarian Action.

On the hackathon, nine teams engaged in a series of learning activities and presented their ideas to their peers for a DHS competition.

And the winner was the team Nutrition who developed an AI solution for help preventing obesity. Congratulations to Year 10 students Bob Yao, Maximus Turner and Alwyn Miller. Each member received a Microsoft goody bag.

All nine teams will submit their ideas to The Imagine Cup Junior 2021 AI for Good Challenge.

Well done all teams and looking forward to seeing the outcome of the challenge!
