2022 WOW Day

2022 WOW Day

On Wednesday 18 May Darwin High School students and staff wore orange for Wear Orange Wednesday (WOW) Day.

WOW Day is a National Volunteer week event and an annual celebration to acknowledge the generous contribution of our nation’s volunteers.

The Northern Territory Emergency Service comprises of volunteers and staff who provide a response capability within each region across the Territory. There are approximately 300 NTES volunteers in the NT.

This year's DHS event was coordinated by our School-Based Police Officer Sue Seears and our SRC. Students and staff took the opportunity to thank our fabulous NTES by wearing orange.

There was also a best-dressed competition, entries can be submitted via either of our social media pages and the winner will be announced on Monday.
