Australian National Titration Competition

Australian National Titration Competition

The RACI Titration Competition is held every year at CDU and involves over 100 students. This year was another great year for the Darwin High Titration Squad.

Congratulations to Hannah Kwon, Cindy Jongue, Shaun Thomas, Ambhika Shivakumar, Tinesia Yu and Kyriakos Lambrinidis who received gold medals in the recent Titration Competition finals held at CDU. To gain a gold medal, the analyst must come within 1% of the true value of the sample.

Congratulations also to Eihab Ibrahim, Ivy Srbinovski, Shirley Guok, Mayooran Sathyendra, Yinan Luo and Farok Al-Ibrahim who reached the finals and received silver medals for their fine titration skills.

To get to the finals the students, who competed in teams of three, had to be one of the top 10 teams in the preliminary competition. This was no small feat given that there was 60 teams from seven different schools competing in this round.

The students will be awarded their medals at an upcoming prize-giving ceremony.
