Australian Olympic Connect 2021

Australian Olympic Connect 2021

Following on from the success of a pilot program in 2020, Darwin High School was invited to re-join the Australian Olympic Connect Tomodachi program 2021.

The program is structured to promote the international connection between youth in two countries, fostering a safe cultural learning environment and providing a unique insight into each countries customs, lifestyle, and activities.

Stage 1 Japanese Continuers class had the first Zoom session of the 2021 program with students from Kumon Kokusai Gakuen in Yokohama on Monday 31 May.

It was a great opportunity for our students to try out their language skills and communication skill as well as to understand Japanese school culture. They enjoyed talking with Japanese students and developed a friendship.
