Bamboo Moon

Bamboo Moon

Darwin High School students Tyson Wallent and Kestrel Kendell will this week step on stage with the Corrugated Iron Youth Arts cast for their performance of Bamboo Moon.

Bamboo Moon is a free community performance presented by Corrugated Iron Youth Arts in the George Brown Botanic Gardens on Thursday 3 to Saturday 5 August.

Based on the traditional Japanese tale of the Bamboo Cutter's Daughter, Bamboo Moon tells the story of Princess Kaguya かぐや姫の物語 and encompasses elements of circus, physical theatre and traditional drama.

Darwin High School Year 12 student, Tyson Wallent is the Town Crier and Guard and a circus performer who has been with Corrugated Iron for seven years. Year 11 student Kestrell Kendell is the Yellow Prince.
