Big Day In 2023

This week Darwin High School students, along with students from other Darwin schools were entertained at the Big Day In, a Careers Conference for all things information technology. Presentations from local experts included; Australian Signals Directorate, Defence Force Recruiting, Kinetic IT, Dept of Industry, Toursim & Trade NT and the Dept of the Chief Minister NT. There was also a panel of very young NEW I.T. Professionals from NEC.
Drum roll…. If this wasn’t enough I.T. fabulous…. there was a special presentation from Darwin High School alumni Dylan Bennett from Geek Culture Collective. Obviously the most popular presenter of the day, a born and bred Territorian and an Darwin High School Student graduate AND a video game designer.
The were very engaged and question time often had to be drawn to a close so that the event ran to time. Special thanks to ACS (Australian Computer Society, the primary partner of this event), sponsors and the teachers that made attendance possible; Ms Emily Parker and Mr Darren Clayton.
