Celebrating ALC Success – Congratulations Jolyn!

Each year, Darwin High School proudly participates in the Assessment of Languages Competence (ALC) program — a nationally and internationally recognised assessment that evaluates students’ listening and reading comprehension skills in their chosen language.

Held annually in August, the online multiple-choice test attracts students from across Australia and overseas. Those who achieve the highest score in Level 3 are awarded the prestigious ALC Medal and Certificate of Excellence.

We are thrilled to announce that Jolyn Sun was one of the top achievers in the 2024 ALC Level 3 Test, placing him among the highest-performing language students internationally.

Although we were unable to present the award last year while awaiting the official medal and certificate, we were delighted to finally acknowledge Jolyn’s outstanding achievement during this week’s Whole School Assembly.

Congratulations, Jolyn — your hard work, dedication, and excellence in language learning is an inspiration to our school community!
