Chinese Star Writing Competition

Congratulations to Darwin High School's Year 11 student William McClay (pictured above), who was awarded 2nd prize in the national Chinese Star Writing Competition. The competition required students to write an essay of at least 500 characters on the theme ‘China and I’. William wrote about his experiences visiting China and how his impressions of China changed once he got to see it firsthand.

The Chinese Star Competition has been running since 2011 and has received strong support from Chinese language students around Australia.
