Climbing Competition

Darwin High School Rock Climbing team wins the 2017 NT Interschool Competition.

Rock Climbing is an Olympic sport and a prominent feature of the NT Interschool Sports Competition, with over one hundred students and eight schools participating in the competition held in March.

The Darwin High School team placed first overall. Congratulations to Darwin High School student Matthew White on placing third in the individual Boys division. Congratulations also to students Morgan Giuliani on placing first and Jordan Speechley third individually in the Girls division.

Darwin High School Year 11 Coordinator and Outdoor Education teacher Aaron Dalgleish said

Rock climbing is a great brain activity. The students have to co-ordinate multi-functional tasks and their rock climbing skills, all while in a competitive environment.

Congratulations to all the students involved on such a great result.
