Congratulations to our 2025 AMT State Awards Achievers!
This week, a group of Darwin High School students attended the 2025 AMT State Awards Ceremony at Charles Darwin University, celebrating excellence in the Computational and Algorithmic Thinking (CAT) and Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC).
Special congratulations to:
- CAT Distinctions:
Year 10 – Renee Li and Nokthor Tripura
Year 11 – Micah Buchanan
Year 12 – Joseph Laurie (also recognised as Best in School) - AMC Distinctions:
Year 10 – Renee Li
Year 11 – Yejoon Choi, Azaan Iqbal, Maximillian Lai, and Ashen Palihawadana
Year 12 – Muhammad Yaseen Ursani
In addition, three Year 11 Centre for Excellence (C4E) students received Merit Certificates in the highly challenging Mathematics and Statistics Research Challenge (University of Melbourne).
A special commendation goes to Year 10 C4E student Renee Li, who has been shortlisted for the national finals of the Research Challenge and awarded a travel bursary of up to $3,600 to present her entry at the University of Melbourne on 27 November.
Congratulations also to Year 10 C4E student Nokthor Tripura, recipient of the Northern Territory Prize ($100) for his entry in the same competition.
