Croc Fettuccine

Croc Fettuccine

Darwin High School Year 11 Food & Hospitality are undertaking a unit on Bush Food.

Earlier this term the class hosted indigenous Chef Zach Green, who spoke with students about recognition for the story behind each of the native ingredients. Students worked alongside Chef Green to make crocodile fettuccine (pictured below).

The students have also prepared kangaroo burgers with apple and fennel slaw and lemon myrtle cheesecake served with rosella syrup as part of the Bush Food unit.

Darwin High School Home Economics teacher, Vicki Potter said

All students have embraced the new food experiences and will be trialling their own ‘bush food’ recipe as part of their assessment.
