Darwin High and Darwin Middle School Combined Band Program

Last year, the Darwin Middle School and Darwin High School Music Departments commenced strategic planning for collaborative work between the schools music programs. 

This year’s focus is combined school band events introducing the “Bullocky Precinct Band”, to occur at least once per term.

By collaborating, the Schools music programs students are given a continuous outlook from Year 7 right through to Year 12 and beyond.

Last week the Bullocky Precinct Band held its first rehearsal and it was an overwhelming success. DMS students are already requesting more rehearsals and the DHS students enjoyed their roles as mentors and leaders.

Parents are welcome to join the end of the rehearsal sessions to hear the band playing together. 

So successful was the first session, planning for the next one has already begun.
