Darwin High hosts Health Careers Roadshow

Darwin High hosts Health Careers Roadshow

On Monday 30 April the Primary Health Network’s (PHN) held its annual Health Careers Roadshow event at Darwin High School. The event saw thirty-three Year 10 students and thirty-six Year 11 and 12 students attend in two sessions.

The sessions were aimed at students who were interested in pursuing a career in the health industry and students had the opportunity to engage with tertiary students from universities around Australia studying a wide range of healthcare areas, including dental, speech pathology, medical, physiotherapy, psychology, nursing and paramedicine.

It was also fantastic to welcome back some of our previous graduates and have the opportunity to hear about their lives and studies after High School. Some were not so straightforward but all were pursuing their passion. The students also participated in hands-on activities based on the skill sets within the health professions and roleplays.
