Darwin High hosts TEDx Youth Event

On Friday 22 September Darwin High School hosted a TEDx Youth event. The event hosted four youth volunteers talking on topics of interest across a range of youth issues and was a student led initiative by Year 11 student, Evan Keith.

Four guest speakers engaged with an audience of around fourteen students. William Edyvane spoke to the group about the economic theory 'taming the beast', Zach Green spoke about the growing popularity of aboriginal cuisine in Australia and shared his story of becoming a chef, Matthew Shaw spoke about his time in Qatar and his experiences with integrating into an Islamic culture and Lithera Abeysinghe spoke about youth engagement in politics.
