Darwin High School SRC attends Leadership Workshop
Last week Darwin High School's fifteen elected SRC members attended a Leadership Workshop at the Mitchell Centre.
Students met with Darwin High School Board Chair, Michael Duffy to talk about the important role the SRC has within the school and how to present proposals from the student body to the school board.
Department of Education Chief Executive, Vicki Baylis, also spent time with the students and spoke to them about what makes an inspiring leader and how they can transfer those skills into their role as a member of the SRC.
The students then worked with motivational speaker, Adam Drake on improving and enhancing their leadership and communication skills.
They then took time to work on their plan to encapsulate their vision for the SRC within Darwin High School and began the process of representing their student body.
The Darwin High SRC will attend the GRIP Leadership Conference on 27 March and will have the opportunity to collaborate with SRC members across all Darwin High Schools.
